Scholarship Deadline Extended to September 10th, 2023.

The Rockets Director has asked that the deadline for scholarship applications be extended to September 10th, 2023 to align with the Rockets tryout schedule. The 47 Fund has extended the deadline and will review the applications and plan to have awards made before end of September.


The 47 Fund now has 4 scholarships available. Click on each to learn about them. To make it even simpler for our applicants, we have only one application that you need to fill out. The Art Martin Memorial Scholarship ($750.00)

This scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving youth hockey player that exhibits both a financial need and characteristics of the namesake (sportsmanship, kindness, love of the game). The 47 Fund will provide $750.00 directly to the St. Louis Rockets to cover a portion of the player's registration fee for the fall regular season.

The Gunther "Show Me Your Salt" Scholarship ($750.00)

This scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving youth hockey player that exhibits both a financial need and the qualities of hard work and discipline. The 47 Fund will provide $750.00 directly to the St. Louis Rockets to cover a portion of the player's registration fee for the fall regular season.

The Butch Giessman Memorial Scholarship ($750.00)

This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving youth hockey player that exhibits both a financial need and characteristics of the namesake (kindness, generosity, service, and community involvement). The 47 Fund will provide $750.00 directly to the St. Louis Rockets to cover a portion of the player's registration fee for the fall regular season.

This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving youth hockey player that exhibits both a financial need and characteristics of the namesake (sportsmanship, kindness, love of the game).
