Ethan M. LoCigno (1999-2019)

Ethan discovered hockey at the early age of three years old. He started playing for the Rocket’s Organization (then Comets) and continued to play club until transitioning to JV/Varsity for Chaminade.

He always enjoyed hockey and all that comes with it – his teammates, coaches, early ice time practices, locker room camaraderie and working hard to WIN the game. As Ethan grew and developed as a player, he became passionate for the game and was always driven to do his best.

His loyalty was with his teammates – on every team he played. He was bound to them by a brotherhood, on and off the ice. They were his family. He had an intense desire to not let his teammates and coaches down and gave his all on every shift and practice. His teammates made the rough times good and the good times great.

Hockey also helped Ethan to develop life skills of time management and commitment. It showed him how to be a leader, how to stand up for what you believe in and the meaning of team and friendship. Above all, it gave him a strong sense of community. Ethan loved everything that hockey offered.
